Call for Authors: Create Digital Educational Content for the Atollo Project
We invite experienced professionals to contribute to the Atollo Project, an innovative initiative aimed at empowering children with intellectual disabilities through the creation of inclusive digital educational materials. Supported by the European Union, this 32-month project brings together 14 partners from 8 countries, including Croatia, Bulgaria, Austria, Iceland, Norway, Ireland, Germany, and Australia.
About the Atollo Project
The Atollo Project focuses on developing high-quality digital tools and content that enhance mathematical and digital competencies in children with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to produce a minimum of 45 digital educational units, tailored to various levels of learning difficulty (profound, severe, specific, and moderate). These units will be part of a comprehensive digital education toolkit designed to support inclusive learning.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking authors with the following expertise:
- Special Education: Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities, particularly those aged 5-10 years.
- Mathematics and ICT Teaching: Proficiency in teaching mathematics and information technology to children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Digital Content Creation: Familiarity with or willingness to learn digital content creation tools, particularly the IZZI platform.
- Collaborative Work: Ability to work within a diverse, international consortium, contributing to a collaborative and multidisciplinary project.
Responsibilities
As an author, you will:
- Develop digital educational content across four levels of learning difficulty.
- Create engaging, interactive materials that align with project objectives.
- Participate in training sessions, peer reviews, and collaboration with content managers and editors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of content throughout the project duration.
