University of Education Upper Austria is one of the largest Universities of Education in Austria

It has been a beacon in developing teacher education in the field of inclusive education since the late 1980ies and, thus, pioneering inclusive education and teacher education. Furthermore, the Department of Inclusive Education has been and still is a ke driver in policy and practice concerning inclusive education in Austria. The department of Inclusive Education is also hosting the Austrian key representatives of the European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education.
