The main purpose of the Atollo IZZI platform is to support students who have difficulties in learning, helping them reach their learning objectives and make progress. It is designed to provide engaging, interactive resources and activities that facilitate understanding and mastery of key mathematical concepts and develop digital skills.
The educational content on the platform targets learners who learn at lower primary levels. In typical settings, these students would be aged 5-10 years old. However, the educational content can also be used by chronologically older students who have intellectual disabilities, when suitable. The platform can be used by teachers in the classroom, as well as by students at home with adult assistance. The platform is also suitable for both individual use and collaborative learning settings, depending on each student's age and abilities.
The Atollo IZZI platform offers a variety of interactive tools and resources to enhance learning in mathematics and ICT. Mathematical content is available at four different levels of complexity to support a wider range of learners. These include educational games, quizzes, animation videos, visual aids, and practical activities that help make abstract concepts more concrete. The activities are designed to engage students, providing real- life examples that facilitate understanding and retention.
Whether students can use the platform independently depends on their individual abilities and learning difficulties. While the platform is designed to be user-friendly and engaging, children who face more significant learning challenges may require support from parents/guardians, teachers or learning support staff. For students who can manage tasks on their own, the platform offers an opportunity for independent learning, allowing them to explore activities and resources at their own pace. However, for those who need more guidance, the platform should be used alongside adult supervision to ensure they get the most out of the experience.
Yes, the resources are free and available without restrictions in order to provide teachers and educators with activities to support various types of learners to reach their mathematical and digital learning outcomes.
